MEET THE MAKER!
Hello! My name is Sungmin Ro, and I am the artist "Minnie" behind MinnieMadeNY. After graduating with a BFA and an MFA in Design and Technology, I always worked with my hands, drawing visual aesthetics, building product prototypes, and developing web applications. Although I am not the only one and definitely not the first one to make wire art, my hands found a new pleasure of joy and imagination while playing with craft wire during the quarantine in 2020. With my designer mind and interest in minimalistic line drawings, I began exploring many ways to bring line art aesthetics into 3d forms. Through countless self-teaching, practices, failures, and explorations, I developed skills that focus on creating natural curves in lines and shapes that only hands can do and detailed structures while keeping them minimal. Now my journey through this hobby has grown into a full-time business, my only intention is to spread the same pleasure & joy I feel about this journey to others. For that reason, I enjoy creating what I would love to give myself, family or friends and creating designs that will also inspire others

ABOUT MINNIEMADENY
MinnieMadeNY was founded in 2021 as a way to present a collection of 3D delicate wire flowers that were originally designed by Sungmin Ro. Each piece we make is handmade from scratch and meticulously crafted with care, one at a time, and made to order. Therefore, everything you receive from us is one-of-a-kind art.
We are inspired by the elegance that each line, curve, and shape of nature brings into our eyes harmoniously. Our goal is to give you enjoyable wire creations, capturing the essence of realistically complex nature forms and minimizing them into 2D & 3D line art. With that in mind, we will continue to thrive on our creative missions - to craft as many products as we can by hand, to be slow and conscientious in our process, to constantly develop new designs, and to improve our quality & style at all times
